refering to your comment in Chedet.cc. You’ve mentioned that we’ve something valuable which is Islam that others doesn’t have. You’ve also mentioned that you’ve a language which is Bahasa malayu that you’re proud of.
I totally impress on your passion to promote your language/ religion. What what I do understand is the world is flat. It does not determine you either good or bad by the religion or language. Is by how you use them.
Learning in english is nothing wrong and if you’re capable enough, learn both english and bahasa or even learn with more languages.
If you separate the world by race, religion then you’re no difference from israel, USA, anyone else. Because in every country, race, language, religion there are good and bad and there is no one thing that rule them all..
There is no one religion which is the best religion and there is no one language that is the best language.. Use them wisely and you can be the best.
At this moment, english is still a very powerful language and so we shouldn’t biase on the language because you think that is not our language. People learn that language because people know that by learning that language, it provides them information and competitive advantage. Many words of the bahasa still derived from English you can’t doubt on that. But if you’re able to prove your language to the world by think freely. I’m sure other country would want to learn your language.

I agree with you in certain part..people do not determine either you good or not by language and religion…learning english is nothing wrong…
But, talking about which religion is bestest, I disagree a little bit…
For me, I have no doubt that Islam is the best religion….that’s why I still a Muslim. I learn what is Islam, itself. Not from Arabic-like name that you see around you….I dont follow Islam because my parents is Islam and my name is Arabic-like name. For the time being, I dont see any weakness in Islam…if there any weakness, that should be the people themselves, not the religion…like you said..
I dont know whats your religion…but you should proud of your religion…
Talking about language…hermmmm, yes, to learn English is important, but to learn English through Math and Science, thats a little problem…If you want to talk fluently in English, you have to speak in English frequently….I dont know how you learn to speak English….but most people learn English through speaking….
But in Math and Science class, you dont speak English…moreover, in Malaysia education system right now, is a spoon-feeding system….students just nod and take notes…then when they speak English?? I doubt that students will see teacher and ask teacher everyday…in English…
And, its hard to learn something using unfamiliar language….Hairul, me and most of the Hairul.net readers, we all are JAD students….we have our lecture in Japanese…but, some of us usually dont understand what our lecturer is talking about
when he or she is explaining engineering or scientific things….we have to read back reference books again and again to understand….that’s us who are so-called creme of the creme, who were in SPM is top-scorers….8As’, 9As’, 10As’…how about student who is not ‘gifted’ like us….
I am sorry if there a thing that dont suit you…it just my opinion…and I am sorry if my comment has grammatical error…

Well, I’ve seen enough of this discussion in any forum I go.
Open minded non-muslim people will say no religion is the best, no different than the US, blablabla. Muslim people will say Islam is the best, judge the religion not the people, blablabla. Non-muslim people does not understand the true Islam, so they are entitled to their own opinion. Likewise, how many of us Muslim has an understanding on other religion that we can judge them? Like the saying goes, don’t judge the book by its covers.
I believe the comment by Hairul was meant to the blog’s owners, Dr M, a Muslim. He must’ve understand it. So there’s nothing wrong with that.
On the language issue. The idea is good. The implementation sucks. Simple as that.
Pelajar yang tinggal di kawasan bandar, selalu terdedah dengan English, persekitarannya bercakap English, walau rojak macam mana sekalipun, ada kelebihan berbanding pelajar tinggal di pedalaman. They were showered with English vocabulary since they were kids, and not only from school but also from the surroundings. Students from the rural area learn ONLY from the school. Notice the clear disadvantage they have. This will only widen the gap between good and the not-so-good student. You don’t want that to happen, do you?
Education should be about educating. So if the student can understand it better using Bahasa Melayu, what’s wrong with it?
This is different than at university level. If he/she is good enough to enter university, he/she should be good enough to cope with not learning in BM. Moreover, university student is expected to self-learn. Self-learn means searching for information, reading from outer resources, which means you have to know English.

Even I don’t get it.
How many muslims has an understanding on other religion???? We, Muslims nowadays even don’t really understand the true Islam & practice it to the fullest because we inherit it thru our parents, not thru the real understanding dat people who invert into Islam get. We can’t judge other religion as I would say here becoz we are human beings. The greatest judge is ALLAH, one & only. Only ALLAH can judge everything including terms of religion. According to Quran, Islam is the only Ad-Din by ALLAH’s side,not only as a religion but also as a way of life.
